GLASS MOSAIC LAYING ADVICE

PREPARATION SURFACE

The surface to be laid must be completely smooth and white. A different color can damage the aesthetic appearance of the result.

MARKING PROCESS

According to EN12004 C2 adhesive should be used. The adhesive should be spread evenly on the 2m2 surface with the flat side of the trowel. The adhesive is combed with 2-3 thick edges of the trowel.

PLACING THE MOSAICS

Mosaic plates are placed on the adhesive spreading surface by pressing with a rubber trowel. Precise observation may be required to ensure equal joint spacing between plates.

COMMON APPLICATION

Grouting is done after making sure that the adhesive is dry. Joints should be clean, dry and free of dust. The mortar should be spread between the mosaics with a trowel and then spread to cover all the gaps. Joint residues that may occur after the floor covering should be removed before it dries.

CLEANING

Cleaning process is started after the have dried. With a wet and clean sponge, the mosaic surfaces and joint gaps together with the entire application area are wiped until the brightest appearance is obtained.
